Important Information

At Niella Cattery we welcome enquiries and are very happy to help you find the perfect kitten. Given the high demand for our kittens and our unique position as the sole breeders in Western Australia specialising in golden-colour British kittens we make sure every kitten gets the love and attention they deserve. Our communication, personal updates and time is prioritised to clients who are on our waitlist.

  1. To Go On Our Waitlist
We expect a deposit of $200. This is time for you to research if a British kitten is right for you and to hold your position in the queue. The amount is completely refundable in the event you change your mind.
  2. To Reserve a Kitten
We expect an addition of $300 to your waitlist deposit at this stage, bringing your deposit to a total of $500. This deposit then becomes non-refundable and is subtracted off your final contract price.
  3. Kitten Pair
If you desire a kitten pair then a non-refundable deposit of $650 will be required. We will also offer a 5% discount off the second kitten’s full purchase price.
  4. Visitations
We give the opportunity to every client to come and meet their chosen kittens in person after their first vaccination at 7-8 weeks of age. For those interstate or overseas we will happily arrange a video-call with you to meet your chosen kitten.
  5. Hand Over
Due to proper socialisation and care, our kittens will not be released before 12 weeks of age otherwise behavioural issues, stress and long-term negative problems may develop.
  6. Under Observation
When a kitten is Under Observation they are not available. It is a process where we observe a potential kitten to see if they are suitable for our breeding program, if deemed unsuitable for our current objective, the kitten will become available.

Kitten Reservation Process

  1. When we are expecting a litter
Once we have an expectant mother, we will contact all families on our waitlist.
If you are not ready for a kitten at that time, simply let us know. We will take this into consideration for future litters while keeping your place in the queue. If you are ready for a kitten at that time, please let us know so we can make sure you are notified as soon as the kittens are born.
  2. When kittens are born
We will send a birth notification to those who are first in line. At this stage we can provide an early indication of the kittens’ gender, colour and coat type. This is subject to change as they develop.
Please reply within 48 hours to confirm whether you are currently ready for a kitten.
If none of the kittens suit your preference, your position on our waitlist remains unchanged and we can contact you about a future litter.
If we don’t hear from you within 48 hours, we will move on to the next family in line. This may affect when you are offered a kitten.
  3. Reservations open at 8 weeks
At 8 weeks the kittens’ gender, colour, coat and individual personalities are much clearer. With the option of an in-person visit, you are able to choose the kitten that is the best fit for your family.
Reservations open at 8:00am and eligible waitlist families will be notified in advance when selection opens. You can then express interest in your preferred kitten. Expressing interest does not place a kitten on hold. A kitten is only reserved once the full deposit has been received within 48 hours. Reservations are first come, first served.
If the deposit is not received within 48 hours, the kitten will be offered to the next family who has expressed interest.

Our aim is to keep the process fair and transparent while giving every family the opportunity to find the perfect kitten for their home.
